Negotiations Update 15

Today, we met with the Teamsters for our first bargaining session since November. The Teamsters canceled the last two sessions. Unfortunately, the Teamsters did not provide the wage and benefit proposals as they promised.

Instead, time at the bargaining table was spent discussing changes to two programs that are no longer prevalent in the market. The Teamsters agreed to allow these kinds of changes to apply to represented nurses in a Memorandum of Agreement in July 2025.

Pull pay impacts less than 2% of nurse shifts, and student loan forgiveness impacts approximately 2.6% of nurses, and alternative programs remain available. These program adjustments are part of Corewell Health’s work to modernize pay programs. This year, Corewell Health invested more than $50 million in pay premium changes for our team members.

We remained ready to spend a full day considering other proposals from the Teamsters today, but they ended the session after less than three hours of discussion. Bargaining continues in January, and we expect the Teamsters will finally present their wage and benefits proposals as they have said they would for several months.
