Negotiations Update 13

We reached two new tentative agreements today covering leaves of absence and supervisory duties. You can read more about the tentative agreements here. This brings the total number of tentative agreements to 12, which demonstrates continued progress toward a full contract.

We also received a first, partial economic proposal from the Teamsters today, focusing on 403(b) retirement contributions. Starting conversations related to economics – which includes all aspects of wages and benefits – is an important step. As we have communicated to the Teamsters, it is important to receive all economic proposals so that we can understand the full picture of what is being requested and engage in meaningful conversations with the Teamsters about what is most important to our nurses. We expect to receive additional economic proposals during our sessions next month.

Given the progress that has been made and the substantial work still to be done, the parties have reserved dates in January and February for additional bargaining sessions.
